Time to recap on Day 1 (Southampton) and Day 2 (Sea Day).

We were swiftly onboard and did what all cruisers do as soon as they board, have their photograph taken and load up on buffet food!

Once the cabins were available we made our way up to them. I’m in an inside single cabin on F Deck (6) and the folks are in an inside cabin on B Deck (11). I’ve included a couple of snaps of my cabin which is pretty spacious and full of storage space. More to come on that in a future post.

We attended the muster drill as always and the obligatory muster/life jacket selfie was taken, my muster is Brodie’s.

We followed the muster with a stroll on the Promenade Deck. Going to try and make it a regular stroll. (See the prom selfie)

On the evening we headed down to the Playhouse Theatre where it was the first of the Headliners shows, Electric Avenue. I’ve seen this before but it’s always a good show to go along to and have a good singalong. Plus every cast brings their own twist to the shows.

Over to Day 2 then. The themes of this Sea Day was Eat, Drink, Walk and Repeat.

For only the second time ever we headed to the MDR for a sit down breakfast. Always a treat over the buffet. Think this might become a regular fixture where we can.

We then headed for our own custom lap of the ship. On to promenade from FWD Stairs along the starboard, round the back, along the port side, up the fwd stairs, along then passenger corridor, out on the to bow, round the bow, back into the passenger corridor and down the fed stairs, then repeat.

The weather in the North Sea was pretty amazing! We managed to catch some rays on the open decks and get a bit of a tan on.

By this point it was time for more foot and a few more of our laps.

In the afternoon we headed back to the playhouse to hear Phil Holt talk about the RAF Red Arrows, it’s a 2 part talk with the second part happening on Friday (Sea Day 2).

It was formal night too and in particular Captains Gala Night. If you’re a seasoned cruiser (like me) by now you should’ve worked out how to take advantage of the free drinks. 😂

Quite a chilled out and relaxed night after dinner, spent the rest of the night in Planet Bar listening to the The High Tides.

Post from today about Stavanger to follow.
